System Administrator for the ZF Advanced Analytics Platform

Responsibilities:

• Concept, Build, Expand and Operate ZF’s Advanced Analytics Platform based on Hadoop
• Automate the deployment and scaling of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services in relation to analytics on private (OpenStack) and public (AWS, Azure, …) clouds
• Support data analysts by expanding and operating the Advanced Analytics Platform
• Manage, operate and automate the Advanced Analytics Platform (Hadoop-Stack)
• Work in the Linux System Administration team and manage the Linux Landscape
• Automate the Linux system deployment, configuration management and security baseline
• Introduce new Linux distributions
• Design and Implement CI/CD-Pipelines for the infrastructure

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the field of computer science
• 6 years work experience in the Linux system administration area and Deep Linux skills
• Know-How about designing and operating Hadoop-environments (HDFS, Yarn, Tez, Hive, Hbase, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Jupyter … )
• Automation using Ansible
• Preferably experience in implementing CI/CD-Pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab Runners
• Preferably experience with Open Source SQL / NOSQL database technologies (PostgreSQL, Cassandra etc.)
• Work in agile, international project teams; also be able to lead IT-projects
• Fluent English and Readiness to travel internationally
