Ecotoxicology Expert (m/f) - Terrestrial Vertebrates

Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

 

 

• Be globally responsible in the area of terrestrial vertebrate risk assessment for crop protection products containing certain active substances within an international expert group; this responsibility comprises e.g. completeness and quality of data and end points, state-of-the art risk assessments
• Ensure that all (standard and non-standard) studies required for global registration/re- registration of active substances and products are initiated on time and meet the demands of authorities
• Participate in and coordinate advanced and complex interdisciplinary risk assessment and global strategy for active substances in close cooperation with internal functions
• Present risk assessments in internal working groups and to regulatory authorities
• Develop, optimize and adapt models as well as tools for risk assessment
• Maintain a sound awareness of international regulatory testing guidelines, requirements and criteria as well as follow new developments, policies and global trends
• Active collaborate with internal laboratory and expert groups within the Environmental Safety department as well as with external consultants and CROs
• Actively participate in scientific meetings and lead interdisciplinary external/internal working groups

 

 

 

Was Sie mitbringen

 

• University degree in natural/life sciences or comparable advanced professional experience
• Several years' experience in ecotoxicology with focus on terrestrial vertebrates (small mammals or ornithology) and risk assessment
• Deep understanding of animal physiology and endocrinology including state of the art testing approaches with a focus on terrestrial vertebrates
• Profound knowledge of national, European and international regulatory guidelines, criteria and processes
• Long-term experience with leadership of external co-operations and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High degree of commitment as well as ability to take action for continuous improvement
• High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
