Postdoc Protein Structural Biology (m/f)
Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten
- Molecular cloning, expression, purification of target proteins for structure determination and high-throughput assays
- Analyse protein ligand interaction by using a variety of biophysical techniques to validate and characterize binding
- Collect data at synchrotron and internal x-ray sources as well as data processing, structure solution and refinement
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams from structural biology, protein technologies, screening and lead discovery chemistry/computational chemistry within and outside the organization
- Keep the awareness of scientific developments in the field, plan experiments and evaluate, interpret, present and publish scientific results
Was Sie mitbringen
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry/biophysics or related subject
- Proven expertise and track record in production and x-ray structural analysis of proteins
- Practical experience of biophysical methods (especially TSA, SPR) and corresponding data interpretation is desirable
- Ability to work and communicate within interdisciplinary teams
- High level of motivation, commitment and sense of responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written, basic knowledge of German is an advantage
This is a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
