Postdoc Protein Technologies (m/f)
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for cloning, expression, purification and reconstitution of membrane proteins, especially solute carriers
- Characterize the structural integrity and functionality of purified membrane proteins by using a variety of biochemical and biophysical techniques
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams from assay development, screening and pharmacology within and outside the organization
- Present results in international meetings as well as publish them in peer-reviewed journals
Who you are
- PhD in biochemistry or a related subject
- Proven expertise and track record in the production of membrane proteins (preferably solute carrier or other transporter proteins) and their functional reconstitution using e.g. nano-discs
- Ability to work and communicate within interdisciplinary and international collaborations
- Willingness to drive challenging scientific projects in an independent and creative manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
This position is limited for 2 years.
