Head of Bid Management B2B (m/f)


Responsibilities

  • You own the Bid Management Process and lead this by steering bid managers functionally
  • You develop, maintain and improve relationships on all business levels  and actively involved  in the development  of a customer-focused strategy
  • You are responsible for the implementation of a standardized Bid Management Process incl. margin verification jointly with Finance
  • You implement a Bid Database and Calculation tool for “standard offer” from KAMs
  • You work pro-actively in integrated teams (Regional unit and B2B) to provide technical and economical know-how for solution sales proposals which results in signed contracts
  • You lead the bid team (including project management, operation and maintenance, legal, controlling, procurement) ensuring internal governance and sign off processes are adhered to and that customer offers are holistic, delivered on time and with high quality
  • You implement a risk assessment /reporting in the Bid process
  • You drive ISO certification for the Sales Process
  • You ensure the correct qualification of opportunities and tender and take overall responsibility for proposal development and delivery
  • You deliver customer revenues and profit margins in line with or exceeding business targets
  • You recommend strategic and technical responses to market trends and follows through their  implementation within the new customer solutions business in B2B
  • You attend key negotiations to assure best results (win rate/margin/risk)

Qualifications

  • You hold a university degree in technical studies preferably engineering, industrial engineering or electrical engineering
  • You have a proven track record in the Energy Solution Market
  • You have experience in purchasing in large matrix organisations, preferably in the energy sector
  • You developed a knowledge of best practice from prior bids and demonstrable organisational experience of bidding and winning projects
  • You have experience in project managing professional bid teams including examples of performance improvement
  • You understand the key drivers and technical fundamentals of a broad range of different technologies –CHP/PV, heat pumps, biomass, lighting systems etc.
  • You understand operational design techniques and how these impact upon commercial proposals
  • You have proven ability to negotiate technically complex and multi-faceted contracts with B2B customers
  • You have strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • You are able to build up credible relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • You are fluent German and English, other languages such as Czech, Polish, Swedish an advantage
