Board Officer (m/f)


Responsibilities

  • Manage and steer Board Office at EC&R, in particular
  • Manage set-up and execution of EC&R Board meetings:
    • Setting the agenda, in conjunction with the CEO and other meeting participant
    • Identifying whether agenda items are for information, discussion or decision
    • Circulating final agenda and reading material
    • Guiding the meeting according to the agenda and time available
    • Preparing the minutes of Meeting (MoM) and recording all actions and decisions from the meetings in the designated registers
    • Seeking status updates on actions and formally closing them out
    • Circulating the MoM and updated actions and decision register
    • Submission of documents relevant for E.ON internal and external audit processes
    • Coordinating with the CEO’s PA on meeting logistics and document filing
  • Facilitate and manage representation duties of ECR board, mainly CEO positioning:
    • Manage and monitor EC&R Memberships in Industry Associations (e.g., WindEurope, national/techn. associations, IEA, IRENA, etc.) and CEO positioning
    • Manage and coordinate external orientation matters of CEO, i.e. premium placements at high-level industry conferences and similar external engagements
    • Coordinate and prepare content, in particular key messages, for conference presentations / panel discussions / other external stakeholder meetings
  • Ensure efficient and effective handling for day-to-day administrative office procedures (business correspondence, mail handling, meeting coordination, and set guidelines and rules for major Board office processes (e.g. Board meeting)

Qualifications

  • Excellent business, legal or engineering degree, preferably post-graduate degree/MBA
  • Prior work experience in the area of business development, corporate development or management consulting, ideally with a focus on the renewables energy area
  • High professional commitment, accuracy regarding handling of tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work under high pressure, interest for the job and speed in responding, capacity to coordinate and cooperate; capacity in establishing priorities
  • Ability to absorb and digest a great amount of information and being able to identify key messages and patterns supporting effective decision making and to serve short term ad-hoc requests
  • Strong personal credibility, high level of social competence and balanced personality, strong team orientation
  • Distinctive communications, organization and coordination skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German preferred, but not necessary
