Head of International Bid Management E-Mobility (m/f)


Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of bid managers providing leadership in the spirit of the E.ON grow model for leadership - walking the talk, developing great people and being a good coach / mentor
  • Working pro-actively in integrated teams (regional unit and B2B / B2M) to provide technical know-how for solution sales proposals which results in signed contracts
  • Leading the bid team (including project management, operation and maintenance, legal, controlling, procurement) ensuring customer offers are delivered on time and with high quality as well as that  internal governance and sign off processes are adhered to
  • Ensure the correct qualification of opportunities and tenders and take overall responsibility for proposal development and delivery
  • Deliver customer revenues and profit margins in line with or exceeding business targets
  • Collaboration with relevant E.ON regional units and working together with the regional sales teams
  • Developing, maintaining and improving relationships on all business levels and active involvement in the development of a customer-focused strategy
  • Give input into the key account managers to aid the development of account strategies
  • Recommend strategic and technical responses to market trends to Head of E-Mobility and drive their implementation

Qualifications

  • University degree in technical studies preferably engineering, industrial engineering or electrical engineering
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • A developed knowledge of best practice from prior bids and demonstrable organisational experience of bidding and winning projects
  • Experience of project managing professional bid teams including examples of performance improvement
  • Proven ability to negotiate technically complex and multi-faceted contracts with B2B customers
  • Strong interest in E-Mobility
  • Strong capabilities to conduct analysis and create insights from results, as well as appealing presentations
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and strong problem-solving
  • Experience in international setting and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with international colleagues
  • Positive can-do-attitude, used to working independently
  • Understanding of operational design techniques and how these impact upon commercial proposals
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to build up credible relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in German and English; additional languages are a plus
